KISS: Keep It Simple Stupid

As the great Michael Scott used to say to his Assistant to the Regional Manager, Dwight Schrute, the most effective techniques/approaches are often the most simple and straightforward. Watch this video of a Japanese dance troupe.

Now that you’ve watched this bit of awesomeness, ask yourself why was it so awesome. There were no special effects, no 3D, no blood and gore, no over-the-top cheesy script. Just two dancers in simple clothing performing against a large projection screen to beautiful music. KISS. Human beings are so easy to touch and move. They are hardwired to feel deep emotion. No need for theatrics or literary acrobatics. Just KISS and you’ve got us.
